Restorative Dentistry

Dr. Wayde Fawcett offers a vast selection of restorative dental care options that can renew the health, function, and appearance of the teeth. Conditions such as missing teeth, damaged teeth, and general deterioration of dental health can have a significant effect on one’s livelihood. Treatments designed to address these concerns can go a long way toward restoring the ability to properly chew and speak while reducing the risk of further oral health decline. Restorative dentistry can also dramatically improve dental aesthetics and provide greater self-confidence for patients who have been reluctant to show their teeth when they smile.

The information below will give you an overview of the many restorative and reconstructive dentistry options available here at the Fawcett Center for Dentistry. If you would like to schedule a consultation to explore the ideal treatments for your needs, please contact us today.

Dental Implants

If you are missing one or more teeth, dental implants offer the most advanced way to replace them. Dental implants are designed to replace the teeth and the roots, ultimately becoming a part of the mouth and simulating the appearance and function of natural teeth. In fact, the purpose of dental implants is to yield results that are so similar to natural teeth that patients may find it challenging to tell the difference!

All-on-4® Teeth in a Day

For individuals who are missing an entire arch of teeth, the All-on-4® procedure offers an alternative to replacing each tooth with a dental implant. All-on-4® involves the insertion of just a few dental implants in certain areas of the mouth, followed by placement of an implant supported denture. The implants are able to provide the denture with a stable foundation, reducing reliance on denture adhesives and allowing patients to restore full sets of teeth with results that feel and function more like natural teeth. In many cases, All-on-4® implant placement and attachment of the custom denture can be performed in the same visit.

Porcelain Crowns

A porcelain dental crown can be an effective solution for teeth that are heavily damaged and structurally compromised. A dental crown is a customized restoration that is securely placed over the entire tooth to enhance its strength, improve its function and appearance, and protect it from additional harm. Crowns also serve as the final step of dental implant and root canal procedures. We utilize advanced materials and crafting techniques to produce dental crowns that look and feel as natural as possible.

CEREC® One-Visit Restorations

CEREC® technology allows our dental team to create custom crowns and other restorations right here at our practice, without having to rely on an off-site dental laboratory. This can make the treatment process more convenient and efficient for many patients, allowing them to have their restorations designed, manufactured, and placed in a single office visit.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges have been utilized as missing teeth replacement options quite effectively for many years. A dental bridge can be an ideal solution in cases where one or more teeth are missing in between two natural teeth. Artificial teeth are created to fill the gap, and are secured to the area by bonding them to custom dental crowns affixed to the adjoining natural teeth. This produces a “bridge” to cover the space with results designed to feel natural and look as though the original teeth were never lost.

Dentures

Traditional dentures are still a tried-and-true option for missing teeth replacement, and can serve as an effective alternative for individuals who may not be candidates for dental implants or implant-supported dentures. Our practice offers both full and partial denture options that are fully customized to provide the best possible fit, function, and appearance.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

The conventional methods of filling teeth affected by cavities and decay have advanced by leaps and bounds over the years. Instead of metallic-looking, mercury-based material, Dr. Fawcett utilizes a tooth-colored composite resin that can blend in with the tooth’s natural appearance. Our tooth-colored fillings offer patients a stronger, more conservative, and more aesthetically pleasing solution to a common dental concern.

Inlays and Onlays

The back teeth can often be prone to damage from chewing and decay. Inlays and onlays offer a durable way to restore these teeth with layers of porcelain ceramic, ultimately rebuilding the chewing surfaces and protecting them from the threat of additional damage.
