Our experienced cosmetic dentist, Wayde Fawcett, DDS, invests in the latest dental technology to provide you with the safest, most accurate treatment possible. Our goal is to ensure you are provided exemplary care and exceptional results through a combination of skilled dental treatment and advanced techniques. Some of the technologies we utilize at the Fawcett Center for Dentistry, P.A. include:
CEREC® CAD/CAM Ceramic Restoration
CEREC® is a computer-aided design and ceramic tooth restoration fabrication system. This revolutionary technology, (also known as CAD/CAM), allows Dr. Fawcett to restore damaged teeth in minutes with precision-made, natural tooth-colored porcelain dental crowns or other ceramic restorations, while eliminating the inconvenience of impressions, labs, and second visits.
Axeos™ 2D/3D Scanning Technology
The Axeos™ 2D/3D scanning system by Dentsply Sirona is one of the most advanced dental diagnostic tools available. This technology allows Dr. Fawcett and his dental team to obtain an incredibly thorough view of your mouth from a variety of angles. A 3D image displays virtually every nook and cranny of your teeth, gums, and jaw, allowing our dentist to provide even more precise treatment to give you the best possible aesthetic and functional results. Axeos™ 2D/3D is exceptionally useful in dental implant procedures, helping Dr. Fawcett create a treatment plan to replace missing teeth with results that bring you the most comfortable and natural feel. This diagnostic system is built for optimal performance and patient comfort, and also utilizes even lower doses of radiation than previous scanners. The state-of-the-art Direct Conversion Sensor (DCS) provides Dr. Fawcett with the sharpest, most refined images possible for optimal diagnosis and treatment planning.
Galileos 3D™ Scanning Technology
The Galileos 3D™ scanning system is one of the most advanced dental diagnostic tools available. This technology allows Dr. Fawcett and his dental team to obtain an incredibly thorough view of your mouth from a variety of angles. 3D images display virtually every nook and cranny of your teeth, gums, and jaw, allowing our dentist to provide even more precise treatment for the best possible aesthetic and functional results. Galileos 3D™ is exceptionally useful in dental implant procedures, helping Dr. Fawcett create a treatment plan to replace missing teeth with results that bring you the most comfortable and natural feel. This diagnostic technique also uses low doses of radiation, while still yielding an amazing view.
Computerized Digital Radiography (CDR)
More commonly known as “digital X-rays”, computerized digital radiography utilizes an electronic sensor instead of traditional X-ray film, to deliver superior images instantaneously on a monitor . This technology eliminates the need for developing chemicals that are harmful to the environment. Most importantly, CDR uses 90% less radiation than conventional film X-rays. For your convenience, digital X-rays are sent electronically to your insurance provider, thus expediting claims processing and reducing treatment delays.
Intraoral cameras allow our dental team to more easily identify and explain problems they detect in your teeth and gums. A small camera placed in your mouth creates images on a computer screen that you and our dentist can view together, giving you a clear image of what’s going on in your mouth. Intraoral cameras enhance communication between you and Dr. Fawcett about the issues affecting your teeth and the treatment options that may be most beneficial to your needs.
The Wand™ is a computer-controlled anesthetic delivery system that provides a virtually painless injection. This technology can also eliminate the lingering facial numbness usually associated with dental injections. In clinical studies, 82% of patients reported no pain when treated with the Wand™.
The diode laser is a safe, effective, and comfortable way to remove or reshape gum tissue without pain or bleeding. This treatment also eliminates the need for stitches after surgery. Not only is the diode laser used to treat early stages of gum disease and canker sores, but it can also limit the risk of infection and result in faster healing time.
