Soft tissue lasers utilize a wavelength that is highly absorbable by water and hemoglobin (a protein in red blood cells that transports oxygen) which makes them more effective for soft tissue management. Most often these are DIODE LASERS or YAG Lasers and may be used as a component of periodontal treatment for their ability to kill bacteria and activate re-growth of tissue.
Soft tissue lasers penetrate soft tissue while sealing blood vessels and nerve endings, resulting in virtually NO postoperative pain after laser use as well as faster tissue healing time.
Lasers are gentler and much less invasive when used
to treat soft tissues within your mouth.
With lasers,
you can expect:
| - Faster Healing |
- Less Bleeding |
- Reduced Swelling |
Soft tissue lasers are an exciting new development
in dentistry that we use as part of our
commitment to your comfort. |
